The new trailer for Centurion is out. At the end they advertise the trial of a new distribution method, early release on Amazon, Vudu, Xbox Live and the Playstation network and then a theatre release a month later. Very clever and I’d be interested to see how successful it is.

An article in the New York Times a couple of days ago reported that Apple had overtaken Microsoft as the world’s most valuable technology company.

“The rapidly rising value attached to Apple by investors also heralds an important cultural shift: Consumer tastes have overtaken the needs of business as the leading force shaping technology”

Compare this with the history of the American auto industry. Ford invents the assembly line and gives people a car in any colour … as long as it was black. In the late 20s GM overtake Ford in sales, offering choice, yearly model changes and later the concept car.
